I know bionics are capable of playing FM radio, but can't find an app that allows me to do so. There was a custom rom (Icarus iirc) that had an FM radio app. Any way to get the radio going on stock ICS?

It says "not installed" after trying to install it. I found that earlier on Google. Can't get it to work.

Ever since we were updated to ics the fm radio support died. I had to go to using Tuneinradio app to listen to the locals.

Uh, no, it did *NOT* die. I use it regularly.

I have two of them, one of them works for sure with ICS:

Funny that developer has stated that it only works on certain Moto devices but he didn't bother to limit the devices in the App Store.  It shows as 'compatible' for my Transformer Infinity.

This one used to work for me (the app above).  Fairly certain it did under ICS.  Regardless the non-working issue appears to be fairly widespread according to comments in the Play Store.  Oh well.  Didn't use it very much before but it would be nice to have working again.

I already have and it still doesn't work.  Uninstalled. Reinstalled.  Doesn't work.  I even tried with the APK I had before.  Doesn't work.  Logcat didn't show me anything helpful.

EDIT:

Actually not sure if this is relevant but I did find this in the log.

Unable to start service Intent { act=com.motorola.android.fmradio.FMRADIO_SERVICE }: not found.

Are you running a custom ROMT?  b/c that file is in the stock software.

Looks like neither of the free apps work with jb. I'll deal, but I always liked having the option to listen to sports talk, NPR, etc, without using data.

John, since you recently updated to JB, have you been able to get the radio to work?

Hmm, according to John FMRadioService was one of the things removed from ICS to JB.  Don't know why they would just take it out entirely though.
