So am I understanding this right? There is:
CM10.1
CM10.1 "test build"
CM10.1 w/ kexec
AOKP (4.2.2)
AOKP (4.2.2) w/ kexec
LiquidSmooth (4.2.2)
Is this right? And if so, which builds have working cameras?
I'm on the 3/14 test build, kernel 3.08 and camera is working great.
CM has an internal updater correct? I would use that to update to the most current build if so, but if not, just download the newest build and dirty flash (GAPPS again too?)

Kexec has working camera. If you use the CM updater you don't have to reflash the gapps and you can dirty flash the update.so yea there is definitely a lot of clutter surrounding cm10.1 so just a couple questions (thanks for making this thread btw).

You can dirty flash the update. Just wipe dalvik/cache when done. The only stupid question is the one you didn't ask. Feel free to ask about anything.Good idea!
OK, I'm going to ask a stupid question. Please be gentle, I'm a newbie! Yesterday was my first ROM.
When there is an update do I just flash it over the top of what is there or do I uninstall what I have and then flash the new version? I've not really gone into the functions and played around yet.

Let me know how it goesI just HoBd my phone to stock and rooted with the new Superuser and su binary apps from Koush. I'll be installing SS 3.11 next, and then I'm off to try the Kexec CM 10.1 and see how that goes.
