I have the car dock and am wondering if there is a way to get audio out through the USB or do you have to use a standard 3.5mm audio cable? My GS III car dock has a Y cable that is micro USB to USB/3.5mm audio out to my car stereo, does moto make something like this?

Haha sorry that wasn't very informative. I can't find just the cable, which is why I didn't put anything else....but Amazon sells the dock with the cable you're looking for
Again...not sure where you can buy just that cable though.

I found the cable at the Motorola website but the HD isn't listed as one of the compatible devices, hmmm

Wow I'm on a roll today...didn't even notice this was for HD. I would imagine it would still work, I would think this should work for any phone...

I am suspecting the HD doesn't do audio out through the micro usb. One would think the motorola made cable would be included with the motorola car dock if it did. The instructions for the dock says you need a 2.3mm audio cable to do audio through the car radio/speakers.
And by 2.3mm, I mean 3.5mm
