There are no ill issues with using RM. Some of the convenient features may not work depending on what rom & default storage you have. Q recovery is slow but just swap it. The latest cm w/ sd ext storage allows all to work!
I have even tested all the adv options.
So you can forever leave .img & fastboot for more advanced hacking.
When it comes to easy recovery after you have root- RM is it!!
Edit flashing compatable roms that come via RM? IDNK. Roms on your sd? Like i said cm 10 w/ sd feature only.
Twrp Mgr is a much better homescreen recovery batch manager.
Only RM will flash custom recovery from your homescreen.
