Failed OTA update

Best Answer cmh714 , 12 April 2013 - 01:18 PM

Ok, I am a bit new to rooting, so I now realize how dumb this was. I actually rooted my phone, then proceeded to uninstall many of the boatware apps that came with the phone instead of freezing them. Every 12 hours, my phone wants me to install the OTA update, so I temp unroot with OTA Rootkeeper, then the install fails part of the way through. I am guessing it is due to the fact that I uninstalled these apps. So, is there anyone that has backups of these apps that I could get? I would be forever thankful!

This would be a correct assumption. Backup whatever you feel is important, and then use Matts JB utility here: http://www.droidrzr....nux-all-in-one/

Option 1 will reset you back to a clean Stock updated JB and option 3 will re-root you. Or you can try Option 2 which is a reset withou a wipe Go to the full post
