Since I've installed the update my battery has been acting oddly. I get what appears to be great battery life, then I reboot for one reason or another and when the phone comes back up I've lost 15-20% battery life. This doesn't happen early on, only when I'm down below 50% or so. I'm using battery monitor widget to track it and when it reboots I see a massive drop off. This also happened yesterday when I plugged it in for the night. I was reading about 35% on battery monitor widget before I plugged it in, then the lock screen read 10% the moment I plugged it in. Everything else is acting normal aside for some flash support issues, but I was having those problems with either GB or ICS based roms so that's nothing new. Anyone have any ideas or experiencing anything like this?

Thanks

The same exact thing just happened to me during a reboot.

I've had irregular battery readings as well.. Just drops 10-20% at weird times. Charged from 93% - 100% in two minutes today. Won't stop me from using it but it seems to be an issue...

I know this may be a bit off-topic but since we're mentioning issues I have encountered some other problems as well that I don't think have been mentioned yet:

-Motocast isn't connecting for me
-NFL mobile closes everytime I try to load a video
-If you write an email and save it as a draft it closes everytime you try to reopen it

Could it be the leak itself, or some combination of Klingons left from previous roms? Do any that are having problems have anything besides the leak in common?

I guess this is why it is a beta release... :)

I have completely wiped data/cache twice for other reasons and I still get this erratic battery behavior so I would assume it is a software bug.

Well if it was a software bug, wouldn't everyone have it?

Not necessarily. It could be caused by some uncommon condition. For example, if some logic that runs at first boot said 'if battery >50% do X, if less than 50% do Y' and having no 50% exact condition. It would be rare for it to occur because only a very narrow window at just the right time would cause it.

I didn't get this behavior with GB or ICS based roms. Honestly, I wouldn't have even said anything in the forums until someone in chat pointed this thread to me. Im sure others have this issue also. You may have it also and not even notice it. It is very very random and usually very slight.

I havent had any irregular battery readings but I have had a massive keep awake on Android OS. On GB I can run for 26-28 hours and ICS with this keep awake issue im barely getting 19 with keep awake being at 7-8 hours.

I just notice weird battery behavior. Phone died and charged it on my laptop. 500 mA charging port so my battery was about 40% but reported 60% and when I turned it on said 100%....

I think i was one of the first ones to mention this in chatroom on my first day using the leak but instead of battery dropping. I recorded getting 80% at one time...left it on my nightstand not charging and took a shower I came back a few minutes later and I was at 100. I praised icecream for that lol but that happened once. After a fresh reboot I'm not seeing that anymore since. But I doubt it if everyone's going thru same thing
