Sorry if this is a super newbie question. I recently upgraded to JB all the way from GB the other day. Doing so I uninstalled safestrap 1.07 that I have been using for the last year. I have a lot of sms messages/data on one of my safestrap 1.07 backed up roms that is sitting in my sdcard. I'd like to restore this rom to one of the open safestrap slots to save the messages and data.

 

Now, since the rom I'd like to restore was running GB and not JB will I still be able to use it? If that is possible, can I restore safestrap 1.07 backups with safestrap 3.11 or do I have to stick with 1.07?

I definitely cannot use safestrap 1.07 backups with safestrap 3.11.

 

Now, if I stick with safestrap 1.07, can I restore a backed up gingerbread rom to one of my open slots even though I'm running the latest OTA on the stock side?

No, once you have taken the latest OTA which is on the .16 JB kernel you cannot in any way go back to earlier builds (ICS GB)
