THANK YOU SO MUCH THIS WORKED PERFECTLY!!!!!.....I USED 32 BIT UBUNTU 14.04 LTS
- I DOWNLOADED THE .ISO FROM UBUNTU.COM
- BURNED THE ISO TO DVD
- REBOOTED AND LOADED UBUNTU THIS LINK HELPED ALSO ()
- GOT ERROR MESSAGES WHEN TRYING "sudo apt-get install samba"
- So I went to the software center and installed samba from there, still had error messages
- So I went back to try "sudo apt-get install samba" and it worked this time
- I was then able to connect from the bionic to the shared files from there it worked grea
Helpful links:

In order for this to work download Ubuntu
14.04.2 burn to CD and boot open terminal ctrl+alt+t
Do all of these lines of code first to get lib32 libraries. then continue with with the original 1st post at step 2 with making the temp directory.
sudo apt-get install libc6:i386
sudo -i
cd /etc/apt/sources.list.d
echo "deb raring main restricted universe multiverse" >ia32-libs-raring.list
apt-get update
apt-get install ia32-libs
rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ia32-libs-raring.list
apt-get update
exit
sudo apt-get install gcc-multilib
