Hey guys sorry for no update in awhile just been really busy and not sure i will have enough time to keep working on paranoid for a bit. To get data to work it require a bit of work to frameworks_base and frameworks_opt_telephony and i dont have time to merge in patches from cm when paranoid will be releasing a new version very soon. I am also working on a different project called Slimbean. If anyone wants to take over this i will be gladly able to show them how to get started and attempt to fix data.

If i had the time this month, this would be a fantastic place to learn rom building. I love PA, I may pull the source and look into it right now. See if I could merge the new kernel updates and do a build... I'll report back tomorrow afternoon/evening. This weekend is almost the only free time I have until the second week of August. OK, so starting a first build (xt926 only for now) in about 10 minutes. This is just a test build, I have not modified anything yet. I want to make sure it will build first. I will post a link to the build, although I am not expecting anything different from the last build posted in the op. I have to make an unexpected trip out of town this evening, so I may not get any changes done until tomorrow. This also means I will not be flashing/testing this build today, as this is my only phone . I'll update when I do get something changed, and if things look promising, I'll start a new thread and open a new git.

 

****update **** Well that didn't go well... Just caused my system to hang, been sitting for 3 minutes. Cannot even activate the CAPS lock light... I'll give it another shot after a restart...

 

***update again*** Apparently that crash cause some serious havoc on my hard drive. I'm running through my second disk check now, and it is still finding errors. When it finishes I will give it a shot again unless I have to leave before then.

 

***Dead in the water *** Looks like the problem is a bad CPU. It continues to crash during the build process and I found level 2 cache error messages being logged. As I'm moving in 3 weeks I won't be able to RMA my CPU until right before I move, to make sure the replacement arrives at the correct address. If no one else gets the ball rolling, I'll give it another go when I get my replacement CPU in August.
