SafeStrap 3.11 - uninstall

Best Answer twinkyz1979 , 25 April 2013 - 10:32 AM

I must have done something pretty bad trying to manually delete this, probably when I deleted the apk file and references in TiBu.  Now when I go to the play store, I can't find safestrap as an option when I try to get in on my phone or through my pc/gmail and play store.  Uh oh.  Help.

I want to use HOB tonight to flash the JB system image.  I cannot for the life of me figure out how to uninstall safestrap.  I've deleted the apk file from storage, uninstalled from the play store, yet when I reboot phone, safestrap is still there.  My voodoo rootkeeper didn't take and after working through Dan's process to root last night, I was able to get through the whole process only  not to achieve root.  Sam said to go to HOB to FXZ, but I can't start that process until I remove safestrap.  Maybe I should have posted this in HOB, but as it's more of a safestrap issue, I thought I'd start here.  Thanks.

Re-install the app then open it and hit uninstall recovery. Then uninstall the app again

I've lost root, am I still able to do this? I thought you had to be rooted to install? the weird thing is I can access safestrap when the phone boots on, i just can't find the uninstall recovery option. although i'm a noob, i feel like i'm missing something that should be simple or obvious. sorry to be such a PITA.

I think it would but better be safe than sorry and go ask Samuri in the HoB discussion.

Went to HOB last night and did the FXZ, all is well, thank goodness. Amazing utility Sam developed.
