Use a custom home launcher like Apex, Nova or ADW. Press and hold on the icon that's on the home screen, then select edit. From there just navigate to the icon you want.

i know this thread is a bit dead, but i am curious as if any1 knows how to create an Icon pack to be loaded through APEX theme manager. I know it is already possible to long press on icons found on the home screen to change them, but to change the icons within the app drawer, it has to be loaded through an icon pack. I have all the images done, and i have downloaded an icon pack from play as a base to build mine from, i've read multiple threads but no clear representation of what exactly is needed to get this going..... any help would be appreciated

Also on Apex you cant change the dock unless its part of a theme. Nice thing is you can select from different things; skin from one theme, icons from a different one, and font from another. I believe the "skin" is essentially the dock but dont know for sure.
