BETA TEST SIGN-UPS ARE NOW CLOSED

So as you probably knew (or didn't know) Team LiteSpeed is developing FlyingJelly, a ROM based on the JB OTA that has a similar goal as Icarus: A stock based ROM that is slim, fast, and feature packed yet not overwhelming. You can expect all features from Icarus to be in FlyingJelly. But we also want to hear from you guys on what you use and dont use so we can make a ROM that best fits you.

Feel free to suggest any features. We are making no guarantees, but we will consider all features.

Also, we might be dropping teaser screenshots or posting questions for you guys to throw your input in on. So check back frequently!

Toggles, 1% battery mod, and def init.d support. That's all I need. Stock jb battery life is already fantastic. Can't wait to test this gem :-D

Ooooh...how about a themable status bar!?!?!?!  :p

Seriously though...I've been running Flying Jelly on my RAZR pretty much since I got it and it's just as stable as Icarus was on the Bionic...which I ran pretty much since release until about 3 weeks ago when I decided to try out Speedlite (another fine ROM on Kexec). T3 & JP know how to strip out enough while giving some umph and keeping things stable enough to use as a daily. I'm not speaking against other Developers nor am I saying that they aren't as good...but I always found myself back to running Icarus.

Not to steal the original purpose of this thread or to speak for others but.., Bamafan has a couple of awesome themes begging to be on the Bionic..and I have redone my Icarus

but it will be setup the same for the Bionic.

I'm as eager as all of you to have some Flying Jelly on the Bionic!

Toggles that have a stock look to them (Similar looking to CM10.1 or so). Would it be possible to make the notification LED a light blue color similar to how its done in CM10.1? That would be nice. There are quite a few minor features in CM that would be nice to see here (Vol buttons for cursor and to change tracks). Can things like that be done with a "Blur" based rom?

Those toggles would be perfect to me :p

I just dont know if those features are exclusive to CM roms. The 4.2.2 CM10.1 roms run sluggish on my phone for the most part (For those who would just tell me to run CM10.1 if I want those features). Stock 4.1.2 flies. I can't go back even though I used CM10.1 for a long time before getting the OTA 4.1.2.

It'll fly regardless on the new version of Code Kernel. New commits and features made it absolutely butter smooth. /back on topic

Option to default the volume rocker to media volume and not ringer volume. Had that in one of liquids ROMs way back on froyo on my OG droid.

One thing that me and a few others who i got on Icarus didn't like was the last update with the notifications being full of this theme. It felt as if it was designed for the OP and that's it. I would love to just have a stock notification menu and status bar... That's just my two cents. If you do theme the notifications i beg that you make a flashable zip that removes it and sets it back to stock. Thanks!

You will find that the theming in flying jelly will be much more subtle. But yes there will be an option either in the utility or a flash able zip that you can flash to restore the stock theme.
