I couldn't find any info on whether this method worked for ICS, so I decided to give it a shot, and fortunately, everything works!
For testing, I deliberately broke my RAZR by flashing a modded framework file. Flashed my backup, no issues. This is what I did, and its assuming you have already installed ICS and have working root.

1. install the ICS Bootstrap found here

2. Delete the Voodoo rootkeeper backup
3. Boot into CWR via bootstrap
4. Flash J.Y.Daddy's file from this thread

5. reboot
6. deny SU permissions to Bootstrap
7. turn phone off, then back on, should now boot to CWR every time.

I used the backup I created AFTER installing CWR on boot for my restore, no issues at all. I had a backup I made when I first booted into Bootstrap before installing CWR on boot, but I felt safer using the backup I made after installing the mod.

** Edit** Works for .85, no tweaks installed, just followed the steps

When creating a ROM, this is good to help test. Without this, it would require a full re-install if the test causes a boot loop

EDIT: Tried this and it doesnt seem to work. When flashing the zip, it gets about halfway (the bar stops at the end of the "D" in clockworkmod) then stops. I let it sit for a few minutes, but there was no progress at all

Worked 100% for me. Re-download and try to flash again may be a bad file

I agree, shouldn't be causing an issue when trying to flash. if it still won't flash, try doing a nandroid backup/restore, if you can't make sure you deleted the su backup from Voodoo OTA then try again.

Youll still "soft brick" if you attempted fastboot. Trust me! ;-) but now just until you go through the fix..

My intent was not to allow a fastboot. My intent was to get at least a tiny safety net for /system so that I can start to deodex. This way, if i flash a test deodex, i can just reboot and restore a backup.

Then yep... good to go! But what I was saying is that I had .84 installed just as you did before I attempted to fastboot. Lol

I guess I am still kinda confused on this as I didn't push .84 or .85...your phone bricks if you attempt to go into fastboot mode? or when you try to fastboot flash a GB SBF?

Only reported with the .84 and .85 leaks. Attempting to fastboot back to any previous version will result in a softbrick. The bootloader in the .84 and .85 leak are updated versions and are different from the Gingerbread builds and the .75 (first) leak.

This happened to me twice. I don't think I deleted su backup from Voodoo OTA, so that may have caused the problem. I may try again tonight.

Maybe thats why the script bricked me with my deodex? Lol. Because i had boot to strap already installed.

It worked fine with the deodex for me, just have to make sure you freeze/uninstall/deny SU to bootstrap.

He's talking about Dt's ROM over cwr on boot. And Emerican if you have DT's mod installed first then Deodex it is fine. But like you said awhile back, flashing an odex based rom/theme over your deodex system files just causes another soft brick lol.

So do we need to reflash this each time after we install a new system / rom?

Say I wanna try the new and shiny simplexrom for instance... lol

Just wipe, flash ROM, then flash the cwm-on-boot zip all in one session?
