So, Yes... I know this was foolish. Here's what has happened.
I had rooted my RAZR M so I could uninstall bloatware among other things. I wanted the newest update, so I needed to try to add the bloatware back so it would install. I found an app folder online that had all the "original files" and put that in my system folder, after renaming the original app folder to appOLD.
I then foolishly reboot my phone, and I can't figure out how to get back in to fix the app folder as I'm stuck in a bootloop.
I've tried putting a number of custom roms on the SD Card, and they all abort after verifying update package. I've tried sidloading via adb, and they abort just the same. I thought I had found my answer with the aromafm file manager that can give you a file browser from recovery, but it too aborts after verifying update package. I have the original recovery that came with android (I thought I had installed Clockwork Recovery, but apparently I had not done that when I rooted several weeks back). I even tried the factory reset... nothing.
Does anyone have any ideas about how I can get into the phone's file system and rename my original apps folder back so it at least can reboot?
Or have I truly figured out a way to completely brick and android device?
