I have been unable to find a straightforward answer to this question: What is required when switching between safestrap rom slots? Is it necessary to wipe cache/davlik cache? Are the cache/davlik partitions part of the rom slot or common to the entire system?

Cache and dalvik ate unique to each slot. No wipes are required when switching slots, only when installing.
