Disabling Journaling may be good for performance but it also decreases data integrity, I/O integrity in general w/e.. just so everybody knows fully of what they're getting themselves into. This can also be disabled via kernel ;)

Yeah that's kinda what I was afraid of. Thanks byte for the in-depth knowledge. Imma wait til there is a bit more testing...

But hey, I disable fsync in my kernel which also increases performance for the sake of data stability :p So the chances that it will break something are low, I would guess.

Yeah but not everyone wants to run AOSP with decreased battery life  :p

I'm gonna try it out and post results.

Once the kernel gets good enough it'll be just as good :p

Sorry for the delay but I did try this, flashed over carbon. Definite performance gain, but the hot boots I've always had with carbon went from just reboots to boot loops, that had to be solved with a cache/dalvik wipe or three. Still running it on my n7 but I undid it on my rmhd. Also ran it on slimrom, slimrom didn't have the hot boot issue, and if I stayed on it I would flash this, but I need Bluetooth audio.
