i am using razr xt 912(verizon) in india with GSM career,i bought it from US,but i dont have any problem in running gsm sim on it ,,how it happens? but i m using reliance cdma (indian) in a non sim mod in this razr xt 912,so i can easily access gsm and cdma in a single click,but Data not working in cdma mode hows this ..but data works in gsm mode

Well, not exactly sure....the XT912 from Verizon is a Global Capable phone. Here in the US its ONLY CDMA. When you go to a foreign country, all thats needed is a swap of the SIM and usually changes to the APN information to get it working on the foreign carriers GSM network.

 

Not exactly sure why you cant get data on the CDMA side, or what to suggest, other than changing the radios  or using the Test Menu....

 

To get to the test menu, in the phone dialer, dial: *#*#4636#*#*

Data won't work on CDMA outside US.

Not 100% sure but I dont believe that to be true. I have seen others post that they were able to get data working as well by tweaking the APN info.

for data to work in cdma , you need a verizon sim

so you will need to programme the number as in the earlier handsets

no I programmed and running data without version sim ...I found fix for that...
