I've googled it and came up with many threads but no answers why. Here is my best description. Its completely random and by no means a major problem but my previous M didn't do it. Its as if the screen is trying to slide sideways left to right real fast for only a second or two. It does it in the main screen as well as forums and APS like gameplay. Did it before I was rotted and still doing it. Wondering if somehow the screen is seeing a touch happening that isn't and freaking out for a second. Anybody else experience this and come up with an answer?

I've only seen that on my wife's droid 2 global (POS phone to begin with LOL )

Anyway ..... for hers the root cause as oil from fingers etc on the screen..... (and a two year old putting it his mouth)

The tedious solution for hers is to use screen wipes twice a day and keep the screen immaculate.....

Whatever the flicker is, its when we were updated from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2, before then, I didnt have the screen flicker.

i've seen the flickering on 4.1.1, 4.1.2, and 4.2.2

I have 4.1.2 at first thought I was going crazy but I do experience this flicker at times not sure what is the particular cause because it comes and goes.

Usually screen flicker is kernel related. At least that's what I have seen on my DNA. YMMV.

This was happening to me regularly after installing and using the full!screen app. I uninstalled the app, cleared caches and the flicker has not returned. It may have been a coincidence but I have been flicker free for weeks.

Its the update from 4.1.2 I first thought it was the phone itself. But turns out the update made the phone into complete crap. If you have a custom rom, the issue would be resolved. Motorola better fix this.SOON!
