There is no unlock after update and that unicorn will probably never be seen again.  :(

You don't think another exploit will be found? :(

Also, FYI, you need to create a ROM slot in SafeStrap to be able to flash a ROM.  You can't flash over the stock ROM.  The flash you're doing now will probably fail, too.  You'll probably need to restore your backup or RSD back to stock.

I used MAtt's Utility to put back on the stock rom.

Nope. The guy that found this one is currently retired. It's a sad day for this and many future Moto phones. You can thank VZW.

Is it possible to remove the update from the bootloader to re-enable the exploit?

Nope.  You can root, but that's it.

Also, glad you got it worked out with the utility.

Yeah, Matt's Utility has saved my phone multiple times. I hope someone finds a way to unlock the bootloader. I'd praise them.

Do you think this would work if I wanted to put this ROM as my stock?

Because I just want my stock rom to be Deodex, so I can customize it. :p

Yeah, that should work.  Personally, I haven't tried it, but when the bootloader was first unlocked, I was able to restore a SafeStrap backup with TWRP.  So, the backup part does work.  If you do that, I would completely set up the ROM in slot 1, first.  Get it how you like it, back it up, then try that method.  If it doesn't work, well, you know how to use the utility, so you should okay.

Yeah. That's what I'd do. By the way thanks for all the helpful insight into everything.

No problem.  When you get it up and running, come back and let us know how it worked out.

Well, I have it install on slot1 already, now to just install all my stuff and start customizing. :)

Thanks

i need help finding the right program and the right firmware to get my phone back working.

it is a razr m on verizon of course and my phone instantly boots to the ap fastboot flash mode (s) screen and it wont load past it i can use the selection to get into fastboot mode but that is THE ONLY option i have, is to go into AP Fastboot mode. so im guessing i have to flash.

i have tried Matt's utility so that did not work.

but this is the idea of what my phone screen shows me

Device is locked, status code:0

Battery: low

transfer mode:

USB Connected

No valid piv block in sp for system

piv validation failed (system)

fastboot reason: boot failure

usb connected

Since your battery is low, you won't be able to fastboot.  Power off the phone and charge it for about 12 hours, then try again.  That's probably why the utility didn't work.
