Ok so i attempted to flash the new eclipse rom on to my xt907. I created a stock backup using superstrap v3.11. I wiped cache and dalvik then flashed the rom. when i reloaded it went into a boot loop and nothing else. I restarted phone into recovery and tried to load the backup, restarted and still the boot loop. I think i know my mistakes to this point.... A. i didnt use an sd card (please forgive me im a newbie) and im pretty sure i flashed the new rom over my stock one as i did not create a new rom slot. So this morning i went to try and fix it and wiped a bit to much now the eclipse rom and my stock os are gone. when in superstrap if i click reboot and system it gives me a warning that there is " No OS Installed! Are you sure you wish to reboot?" if i do it just goes to a black screen...... so here is my question 1. is there anything i can do! 2. if i get an sd card can i just load a rom onto it and use superstrap to flash it onto my phone?

Thanks for the help guys i know im a newbie and should have read the whole tutorial on flashing before doing it, but thats how we learn right try it one way and if it doesnt work read the directions lol thanks in advance

You need to either rsd back to stock or use Matt's handy utility to go back to stock. Just make sure you use the correct utility and make sure your battery has a good charge!

And after your all set ditch ss that's not being used anymore

I recommend Matt's 1.20 utility here at XDA

I prefer CWM for flashing, I think it is easier.

Why would you post a link for xda when he can find the utility on this very site?

Sounds like you should use Matt's utility for the RAZR M to start over. Do you know which version you were on? 4.1.1 or 4.1.2?
If you were on 4.1.1, use Matt's 1.10 RAZR M utility in the razr M development section to go back to stock.

If you were in 4.1.2, use the 1.20 RAZR M utility found in the same section of this site.

If you haven't unlocked your boot loader, its very important to use the correct utility.

Using safestrap, you should have been able to flash eclipse 1.2 (good choice, btw) into a new ROM slot. By trying to flash to stock slot is where you messed yourself up. If you're talking about the new elementalx ROM by nitro, then its based off of 4.2.2 and can't be flashed via safe strap.

No prob but I've come to the conclusion instead of posting links to help people just telling them what to look for is better cause then they do the reading they should have done in the first place. IMO

Also before you flash you need to wipe your system and factory reset a few times not just cache and dalvick cache.

I did the same thing you did once matts utility will bring you out of it :)

Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2
