Hi, I need help with getting the frequencies to stay in the min and max range. I would set the frequencies to 250 MHz min and 600 MHz max and try with many different governors such as on demand, smartassV2, pegasusq, etc. However every time I would refresh the widget it would give me 1.31 GHz which is the highest frequency the phone could go. I was trying to avoid it because I was trying to under clock the phone but to no avail. I am running FlyingJelly so the ROM includes No Frills, so unless there's a way to replace that with SetCPU I am stuck with it. Is there a way to get the CPU to actually stick with the max and min CPU I set?
And also on a side note, what are good min/max to set if you're trying to under clock for best battery experience? Thanks!

Hey man try this experiment. Set max to second highest freq. Then set gov to performance. Watch freq and see if it goes over second highest value if not no frills is working and ignore the widget. :)

Just tried it, it was good for a minute or two and then it went up to the highest frequency. I didn't put it to sleep either, I was still working with the phone and I didn't put a higher workload than I have been...

You set gov to performance? It should be max freq all the time. Does no frills show you a "realtime" freq in the app? No widget.I use setcpu.

Yeah but it went past the second highest frequency (the one that I set as max) and up to the highest frequency possible (I set the max to 1 ghz and it went up to 1.3 ghz) it keeps fluctuating back, like it will go down to 1 ghz for a little bit and then back up to 1.3 ghz for a couple of seconds, then back down, etc. All this while on Performance. And yes I believe it does show realtime frequency

Weird! Setcpu might be the answer I haven't had that happen to me.

OK so I installed no frills. go into settings find refresh frequencies and select it. No frills does not give freq in realtime in the app itself install CPU benchmark. change the freq and see what is says as freq run a benchmark or two then set it to highest freq and run another benchmark or two it should show a noticeable difference. :) if cpu benchmark shows different results you are good.
Just ignore the widget. :)

For some reason CPU Benchmark is showing the same thing. It may just be a glitch with the programming of the No Frills on my phone? It doesn't allow me to update it from the market as it was hard coded in. I just went ahead and disabled it using RootAppDelete and installed SetCPU in its place, hopefully SetCPU works as it's supposed to :) thanks!!

Actually, now I'm having a problem because for some reason it seems as if SetCPU as well is just ignoring the profiles and doing it's own thing...when I open SetCPU it shows the max and min as 1325 and 300 when my profile for Screen On (max priority as well) is 800/250

Is it showing that on the slider bar? That is normal those are "available" not "actual" values. If the "realtime" frequencies above it go past your profile settings that is not normal. For example if you slide the freq to 800 max. then set gov to performance it should go immediately to 800 not beyond it and stay there.

I'm talking about what's above the slider bar, the white numbers that are changing. It goes above and below the specified max and min for the profile that's supposed to be in effect

That's weird. Did you try setting the gov to performance? I don't mean to be repetitive. Just trying to figure it out.

Yeah, I put screenshots of both the profile tab and the profiles I had in it, as well as the main tab, and as you can see it's overriding the profile

I think I see you problem your priorities are wrong.your under clock profile is lower than overclock priority

My problem is whatever's on the main tab always overrides the profiles that are supposed to be playing. I want the overclock priority higher than the underclock (I always leave one or the other unchecked anyways)
