OK so Im new all this ROM stuff. I've been using safe strap and I'm pretty comfortable with it. I want to try out the PAC man ROM but i think it has to be done from recovery because it wouldn't work flashed with as. I've never flash anything any other way and then I have all my backups in as. If I flash in recovery dose that overwrite the stock ROM. How do I go back after?

Sorry if this email s a noob question but I need help before I screw up. Thanks in advance.

WIth an unlocked bootloader and custom recovery, flashing roms is a one rom show.  You will lose your stock - SO, the first thing ANYONE should do once they unlock their bootloader is get a custom recovery on there and make a backup of the stock (label it as such) then put it in a couple of places so you don't lose it.  Only then should you move on to flashing new stuffs.  Safestrap is nice for switching around but it severely limits your available ram.  Be sure to disable Safestrap first, then uninstall it.

If you unlock and use twrp as your recovery switching from ss has little to no learning curve
