I am on .84, and the demons of my flashing addiction are circling around my head... I want to build a ROM for .84. Can anyone point me in the direction of a guide? Maybe some ROM Jedi wants to take on a padawan???

ASP and some C#. Mostly web stuff. In ROM building, other than custom scripts, there wouldn't be a lot of coding though, right? My understanding is that it was more selecting components to include and eliminating unwanted/unneeded stuff.

And the lady in the Cisco webex ad at the bottom of this page looks like Justin Beiber.

It is a plus, but as he guessed basic ROM building/KANGing is more about identifying what components to include, exclude, or alter.

Build your relevant knowledge base first. Learn how to build a flashable zip, how to tweak build.prop, how to deodex an apk, and how to develop a theme (you don't need to make your own images, but get comfortable in SystemUI and framework files).

My bad. For some reason I thought we were talking about app development.
