So does anyone know of there is anything going on with Ubuntu since the jb update. Idbreally love to have that going on my phone. I've tried to flash oy a few times from Rootz wiki always fails. not sure if I'm doing something wrong or of it's because of being on jb.

I would check with DHacker or hashcode - they are both available on twitter. I can tell you that it appeared to be kind of an experiment, had to be flashed in slot 4 IIRC... don't think I've seen any info on it for a while now. Not sure if they gave up or what.
