I have an xt912 with shattered digitizer, so i cant see anything. I managed to get into fastboot, and used the 1.82 utility opt 1 to restore ( i was rooted, etc). I did the" hit any key to wipe phone data"

 

my ext sdcard is out- but is the internal one wiped? 

If not, how can i wipe it? If i let the phone boot up and hook up USB, I just see a drive letter with Motocast a,d some motocast installation files. or, is that correct?

One of the "drives" that will show in windows when plugged in will be your internal storage....(not the moto cast)

johnthehillbilly is right.  One of those drives will be your internal storage.  If you remove the sd card, you should have only one drive besides the motocast thing.  Format it from windows and you should be good to go.

but- I ONLY see the C:\, my d:\ and e\ date drives, and the G motocast

Is your screen completely toast? Or can you see any of it at all....

Also are you familiar with using adb?

screen is toast.

I have adb-, and read the commands online on some web page that had a guide- but i didnt see any wipe, format, etc.

 

Plus, I dont know how to get adb to see the phone with a busted screen.  I did manage to get into fastboot and use opt 1 restore on the 1.82 droid utiltiy from matt.

Anyway....using adb is a bit different to do that..... Do you have teamviewer? If so I can "come in" and try to help you out......

yeah, i have it- . I still JUST see the G drive, and the PCs drives

If you have your HDMI cable, you can try plugging it in (to a TV or monitor).... Even with a broken screen you should be able to see an image of the screen..... And possibly manipulate the menus etc.....(depending on how bad the screen is broken)
