but i see where i am dropping the file in system/media or data/local but am i replacing this file with any other one or adding it to a folder in these directories? thank you!

If you're putting it in /system/media then yes you'll have to overwrite the current one.

If you are changing the stock bootanimation then yes you are replacing the zip file that is already in the folder with the new one. Best practice is to just rename the current bootanimation.zip in the system/media folder to bootanimation.zip.bak so that if you have to revert back to it then its there already. Then all you have to do is drop your new bootanimation.zip file in the folder and your good to go.

i cant get the bootanimation in the OP to work i replace it in system/media and rename it bootanimation.zip and fix permissions in BootStrap

Can't get ANY custom boot animations that were made for the Razr to work on .211 :(

Just get a blank screen. :(

Odly enough, I flashed one of your other boot animations built for D3 I believe and it worked but wrong resolution.

This boot animation in particular does in deed work. Ive been using it as the boot ani for Simplex since the 84 build.

P3Droid, hi! I'm interested in yous boot anim, & evch time I try to preview it w/the latest RomToolbox Pro via 'local' option it fails to open the file.

All other boot anims I try to preview & install work; both those fm jrummy's server & others I have dl'ed… I'm guessing that it may be the file integrity. I even tried to rename it fm Razr_bootanimation.zip to boot… .zip no luck.

Please advise if I need another download site, or if preview just doesn't work w/this anim thru RTPro…
