I used to dev for the SGH-T499, Samsung Dart, but I forgot what program I used. Outside of cygwin and kitchen, what programs do you use? I'm running windows 8, so sadly, I know I can't make kernels. Sorry to anyone who's looking for a custom kernel or someone to dev kernels.
I tried eclipse, but as soon I saw the UI I knew it wasn't the one I was using.
Please help.
Thanks guys.

I use Virtuous Ten Studios for all my apk, xml, jar, and smali edits. It's a great program with everything in it!

Guess I used the crappy set up. I remember notepad ++, I use winrar instead of 7zip, apktool, and kitchen. Never heard of win merge or virtuous ten studios. Gonna have to look into that one.

Never used VTS but WinMerge is good for checking differences between files.

VTS almost has everything. The only thing you need other than VTS is 7zip and a good image editor. VTS even has a .9 patch editor in it! As you can probably tell, I highly recommend it!

Might work with it on my days off and see what I can come up with.

After playing with Windows for a time awhile back, I suggest dual booting with Ubuntu. When I need to work I boot windows, when I want to play it's Ubuntu. Makes life much easier IMO. Sent from my XT907 using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
