I have been looking without answer, so I thought I would start a thread to ask about the governor on the leaks. I remember back on gb there was a motplug option. That seems gone in these leaks, instead interactive is the standard. Hotplug is an option but it seems to mess with the screen touch sensitivity. I believe this may be contributing to the lesser battery life some have experienced on the leak

I'd love to see mot_hotplug on the leaks. It was a solid governor with good battery life. I've asked this before with no answers. I really miss the development that we had on the incredible. You could get answers from devs all the time. I asked for a RAZR devs opinion on this and got nothing. So keep trying i guess.

Before it goes live, I would expect to see Moto HotPlug back. It provided the best battery life with still solid performance because it allowed for 1 core to sleep entirely while the other kept basic tasking running smooth on its own.

hotplug IS mot_hotplug in ICS. In GB, there was no reason to use hotplug over mot_hotplug, so they just replaced one with the more efficient.

EDIT: And just to let you know, I've been running hotplug since day 1 and I'm having no touch screen issues.

Hotplug is great! If you are having any issues try switching your scheduler to No Op (noop), seems to give me the best performance and battery life.

What did you use to change it?? Setcpu or something else?

I set up profiles for screen on, off and on a call. Then the tasks those profiles trigger a task that changes the cpu settings.

The cpu settings are under misc/cpu

Anyone else notice battery drains much faster on hotplug than interactive?

For screen on 300min 1200 max, screen off 300min 600 max, on call 800 max 300 min

I am using hotplug as the governer.

You have to set each core independently.
