Device = XT926 RMHD, unlocked, rooted.

 

When I flash a new rom, I wipe system, data, cache, and dalvik cache prior to installing the new rom.

 

Why is it that when I go to setup the new rom, it will have some of my original settings already?

Specifically, I use 24 hour clocks. In the last 5 or 6 rom flashes, that option is already set.

A few other settings persist as well, like owner info.

Doesn't seem right.

I have the same thing with 4.2.2 roms, tried one months ago, wallpaper and lockscreen text still remain despite wiping and restoring stock.

Not sure what about 4.2.2 roms is causing this but should you want to start completely fresh I would suggest using the Utility.

That was going to be my next move.
Hope it helps me get the results others are getting with some of these roms.
