Looks like Google finallylisted the ability to delete old app from your account (like Amazon can) as a "New Issue" on the Google Play Help Page. Please share the link and click the report issue button.

Issue reported! I've been wondering the same thing. I have apps in my history that are only supported on eclair. Glad they are finally looking into it.
