Hi

I think i posted this query before as well , but couldnt find

I have a Razr M brand new , loved the phone so bought one brand new clean esn from ebay , i am currently in INDIA

I know that this phone is GSM ready internationally like the OG razr ( i used that here as well )

but somehow despite following the proper process of inserting gsm sim , switching to gsm/umts option , my phone is not latching on to any gsm signals and network at all

it just catches the signals for a split second and then they go away leaving the grey triangle with red circle in it

I have tried around 3 sims from different gsm operators with same result , in the status the phohne does show the name of the network though but still no signals in the status bar :(

can any one help me plz

----------------------------------

The other thing i am thinking is downgrading to a previous JB or ICS stock if possible ,

currently i am on stock JB latest , so can anyone temme how i can downgrade to a previous version , if that solves the problem

-----------------------------------

plz help me ,

1 - download

3 - extract both files in one folder.

4- Enter Fastboot mode on phone (power down phone, hold volumeup+volumedown+power until the menu shows up, use volume down to highlight AP Fastboot and press volume up to select it, do this quickly or phone auto reboots)

5 - download

6- install the above drivers in your computer if you do not have them already.

7 - connect USB to device and laptop.

8- Run flash_fastboot.bat or flash_fastboot_erase_userdata.bat  form the Folder you extracted the 1st two files into it, both work.

9- your device will reboot and it may wait for 1 hour or less until it finish the first boot and then every thing will be nice and good and OK.

it should work like any motorola phone for non-USA networks use.

mine is droid razr m not only razr m.

the bootloader is unlocked for the developer editions only.

my problem was with the signal every time i set it from Verizon to GSM to goes to Global after sometimes automatically where it keeps search for networks and keep on dropping,

any how no my droid razr m is like any non-usa razr m, and works with any network 2G, 3G and 4G not like the last system 2g and 3g only with a massage tell unknow sim every time i boot the phone.

If you unlock your bootloader, you may be able to downgrade to ICS. Probably not Gingerbread as there was no gingerbread on the M. I've never tried to downgrade, but I wonder if it would work now.

I doubt if downgrading will help me as there are many know tos of mine who are using the same phone without any issues with different gsm operators here in India.

Tried every possible combination, none of them. Makes it catch the gsm signals with the local sim.
