No matter how I download it it won't dirty flash. It just fails. It's stupid that if I want to flash something after running a ROM for a few days I have to run Matt's utility. How do you guys keep from having to do that?

Make sure when your trying New Themes your wiping your Caches...

Which safestrap you using? If it's 3.6x, mount system, data and cache, then flash. Works for me.

Thanks...Don't know what I was thinking....Is this VVM Universal for All ROMs?Sometimes the obvious is blind...read waaay more into that flash...:blink:Its working...Very Nice!!!Its Bubba"Stubborn In Your Bones"


It works on any 4.1.2 ROM. Not on 4.2 or 4.3 unfortunately. Glad i could help. It sucks paying for something you can't use.

I'm using 3.11. I've mounted and wiped cache but still fails.

Okay,
First thing to note your coming from a New ROM...Second, review the process in the OP to get the idea on how to flash....

* Download to your SD Card
* Backup your Current ROM
* Create a New ROM Slot
* Once complete Wipe..
* Both Caches, Factory, System
* Back to Install...
* Chose your ROM than flash
* When completed... Reboot

Let it sit for 5 minutes before you start with Set-up

Love the new update!

Rom runs faster than ever! Hopefully the battery life will be better in 2.2 than what I was experiencing in 2.1.

Unless your jacking your CPU to higher Settings example;
Min 800 Max 1.2G your Battery will not last...I do the higher for Performance...

Most likely if its not your CPU settings...

You have some App Battery Eater's for starters...time to search & Find...remove the ones you think might be causing your problem...

Patton my friend,

 

  • Do you have a Lot of Saved Backups or Downloads you haven't deleted
  • Or Emails in POP Server Or Exchange Server that havent been Deleted (Old Stuff)
  • Did you try a diffrent ROM Slot...either One or Two
  • This will Stop you from Flashing New ROMs

However,

You may have to use Matt Utilities and get back to Stock, clean out whatever Conflicts lurking within your System...Back in the Droid X Days... we called it SBF...Man what a trip that was...I think I had more Bricks then their were Bricks in the "Yellow Brick Road" trying to get it back to Stock...Wiping the Phone Clean and starting over...Thats the only way to remove any Unknown Conflicts...

 

But I thought you were on Blurry already...Yes!  Their was another ROM you couldnt Flash either correct...

Top of the Morning to you Pattons...
If you can flash one but Not the other...Well your Out of space...

Have you deleted any Old Data as I mentioned?
