Hello,

I'm new to the forums so I'll briefly introduce myself.

My name is Tuco I'm 20 years old and live in Holland.

Just last thursday I bought a Motorola Maxx for myself, due to Motorola not selling phones in Holland anymore I bought one on a eBay like site.

Phone looked fine and works great, nice neat functions that I've never seen on my Samsung Note (1) which also had Android.

But I hear people use the phone 2-3 days without charging.

I can get myself a full day, and then I'm at 15% and I don't use it a lot ( use WhatsApp a lot, and 4G is not available ((yet)) in Holland ).

I hear there's an issue with the 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with the battery.

How do I fix this ?

I'm kind of a newb on Android haha.

Cheers !

make sure after your phone reaches 100% charge, leave it on charger for another 1/2 hr,for max life consider a custom rom

IMHO, if you get a day out of it, you're fine.  Anybody getting 3 days out of a Maxx isn't using it.  Not very much anyway.  I can get anywhere from 9 hours to just over a couple days depending on what I'm doing with it.  The 9 hour thing is when I use Tune In Radio.  That app (and most like it) is battery hungry.  :)  Just my two cents worth.

Okay, but my BlackBerry would last me nearly a day as well, and the battery was half the size..

Also, totally different question, is it possible to copy an existing dictionary ( from standard AndroidKeyboard for instance ) to my "Personal Dictionaries" ?

Cheers !

Will this custom Rom offer me the exact same functions ? I don't want to lose Apps like MotoCast and such..
And I've read somewhere from MattyB a .215 Leak is a good one that doesn't drain the battery ? But I don't know which software I have besides 4.1.2..

Could someone help me out on that one ?

.215 leak was for ICS .... you are on JB :)

I do believe some of the custom ROMs you can still use motocast etc .... if the have been removed (debloated ROMs ) you can always reinstall them if you choose to ;)

.... telekinectically tapped ....

Okay, and I get it haha. And I've got the phone off the charger for fifteen minutes and it has dropped six percent. When it goes to seventy percent, I got the idea it lasts longer than on ninety percent.

Is that possible?
