Volume adjusting stays on screen

I was wondering if anyone can help me. As the title indicates, whenever I adjust the volume on my stock rooted M it stays on the screen. I know its supposed to fade away shortly after adjustment but mine doesn't. I can turn the display off by pressing power button and when I turn it back on its still there.

Tried a reboot. It only goes away after touching the screen. Otherwise it will remain on screen until i took the phone to manually remove it.

I'm thinking an app you downloaded is causing the issue.
