I think I might have gotten recovery back. The phone completely died and when I plugged it in again I was able to boot in to twrp recovery. Because the battery was so low it died again shortly after and I didn't wanna leave it charge last night when sleeping or when I'm at work now so ima plug it back in when I get home and see what I can do

Well I'm screwed. Now it won't charge at all so it even boot. I remember reading about a cable that has a special plug if r inside the phone. It wasn't for a RAZR m I think they were calling it a "factory" cable. anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm have trouble find that post again. I think it was on xda

Yea I found that. I'm gonna pick one up asap. Hopefully I can get it back on and in recovery

The adapter simulates the battery so when your using it it still won't charge it will just let you get everything up and going so you can charge again

It may be the same really hard to tell...... TBH should have the adapters in stock even if the cables are out.....

Yes.... it plugs into the phone and your regular Motorola USB cable plugs into it... same result as the factory cable

personally havent dealt with them but the few people i know that did didnt have any issues. im not sure about prompness of delivery though. i would shoot them an email

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but, It appears, to me, that you may have done irreversible damage to the hardware via the software ..... or like I had said earlier, you may have a bad battery.... I'm thinking more to the former because if the TBH adapter won't allow power to the phone then there is a good possibility of hardware damage....

is tha adapter just basicly plug in and use i know your supposed to plug to the device frist and pc second could i be missing something

OK so I'm going for the sliver lining here I've still got a screen that should be good so I can get a damaged phone cheap and try again. Can some help me with modding the systemui and and setting images correctly. And please be detailed I'm not completely stupid but Im kinda new to this and I did break this phone.

You can force a charge (providing the battery is not hosed) by opening the phone and locating the screw in battery terminals.... cut the end off a USB cord and strip insulation off of the 5v and ground (typically red and black respectively) strip only about ¼ inch .... loosen the terminal screws and place the wires under the screws then retighten...... use great care on the polarity ... and great care that the wires do not touch anything else....... this is a very successful way to charge but is extremely risky if you are not 100% sure what you are doing......

On modding the systemUI.apk..... if all you are doing is replacing .pngs then you can use 7zip to open(not extract) the systemUI.apk.... make sure the .pngs you are using are named and sized properly (they need to match the ones you are replacing) ..... drag and drop into the appropriate folder..... stay away from the .9pngs as you cannot replace them this way and systemUI will fail and crash(FC)
This way there is no need to decompile,edit,and recompile the .apk with apktool(or similar )

Note.... this is usually successful but there are times when systemUI.apk is just stubborn and refuses anything you do to it.....
