While at my brother's home (IT home business), somehow my rooted RazrMaxx disrupts their WiFi. I'm running a rooted, Red Baron-themed, Aviator ROM. No, I've no virus on the phone, totally clean. I offered to run the stock ROM, temporarily unrooted to see whether being rooted is the issue, but these online game addicts all (Mom & kids) yelled NOOOOOO! I've never felt so unwelcomly welcomed anywhere.

How many devices were connected to the WiFi? Perhaps the router reached it's maximum number?  Whenever I go to my parents-in-law's place, the WiFi kicks others off but this was due to too many devices on the router. Their router was old, so they got a new one which could handle more devices and it was fine after that!

Your phone should never put out WiFi interference ....... and on the odd chance that it would..... just turn off the WiFi (on the phone) ......

3 laptops online gaming, brother working in computer room/den on 1/2 computers, server in the basement. Soon after I turn off my wifi, leaving the network, all goes well. Router is a high-end Netgear. sent via RazrMaxx over Tapatalk, y'all!

What exactly is it doing when you are connected to the WiFi ?

Its possible that you are overloading the WiFi router ?...

Hah! I had an old device that did this, my old mytouch 3g. Only at particular friends house.
Never figured that one out either.. (that instance wasn't a number of devices issue).

You might check your MAC address, on some off chance you've got the same as another device there. You can check a quick list on their routers config pages.

My sis-in-law and two nephews are deep into a Wizard 101 session, and by turning in my WiFi, I can boot their sedentary butts off! Mmuuaahahahaaaaa! Buuut....I is a nice guy. It's the thought that counts. Sort of. :-
