Well, my friends, Android 4.3 is here. Google announced the new version of Android this morning at their event in San Francisco, bringing new features and just other changes to the platform.
Android 4.3 includes changes from Android 4.2 like:
- Google has restricted multi-user profiles for tablets
- Support for Bluetooth Smart / Bluetooth Low Energy
- Support for OpenGL | ES 3.0 (capability to allow developers to bring higher quality games and apps to Android)
- DRM APIs in partnership with Netflix (capability to stream HD movies and shows with an updated version of the Netflix application)
- Google Play Games
Updates for the Nexus 4, 7 and 10 will start rolling out today, sorry to those who own the Galaxy S4 and HTC One GPE editions, you'll have to wait a little longer for your update. Android 4.3 is also already rolling out to AOSP now, don't wait too long my developers!
