. Rooted. Currently on the christmas jb leak and am wanting to update. BUT i accidentally wiped my stock side of ss3, before i uninstalled the recovery. It wont boot anywhere past the M logo. I am able to get into recovery and fastboot. I downloaded the latest JB utility from Mattlgrof and am able to run the script but after putting my phone into fastboot, and selecting the first option, the script appears to run but my phone stays on the fastboot screen. I have wiped and cleared the cache and FDR multiple times, I have full battery going into each attempt. I am using the

cable that came with the phone. the utility script runs the same whether or not i have the phone plugged in. Im working from a macbook, any suggestions? thanks in advance

This is what the script reads while my phone is unresponsive

"dyld: unknown required load command 0x80000022
./linuxmacutility.sh: line 108:  5500 Trace/BPT trap          sudo $fastboot flash mbm allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin
"

From searching it seems you may have the wrong or an outdated version of adb.....

The only adb I have is what it included with the utility... Where would I find an updated or correct version? Maybe I am needing additional adb outside of the utility? Thanks

What Operating System are you on? Did you unzip the utility folder?

so then in a Terminal windo change into that folder, then chmod the LinuxMacUtiliy.sh file so its executable, then run it, and hopefully that should work.

Okay. I have no trouble opening and running the file. The phone is just unresponsive once attempting the fastboot. I may be able to try it on a newer OS. Thanks again!

Does it show any errors in terminal while running...... and are you on one the rare 32 bit breeds of OSX?...... we have seen several problems with those and the utilities .....

I dont see errors coming during the terminal except for

"dyld: unknown required load command 0x80000022
./linuxmacutility.sh: line 108:  5500 Trace/BPT trap  sudo $fastboot flash mbm allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin
"

It looks like I may be on a 32 bit system. Is there anyway I can get around that?

Correction: I am on a Intel Core 2 Duo 64 bit, but for some reason within the utility it says 32 bit system?

you can try and edit the script file. Change the references for fastboot.osx32 to fastboot.osx and see if that works. First make a copy of the script.....

Your processor may show 64bit compatible but your OS may be a 32bit.... the easiest way to tell for sure is open terminal and type uname -a ... it should give you all the necessary information :)

And we can go from there :)
