Here is a short instruction sheet on exactly how to upgrade.

1) Download the .209 zip from Memnoch73's link above and put the zip on your Razr's external SD card

2) Use Droid RAZR Utility 1.6 to fastboot back to .181 (yes i know you will get errors and it wont work)

3) Download the unstuck ics tool from Memnoch73's link above

4) Open the unstuck ics took and flash the .209 kernel in fastboot mode

5) Boot into android recovery (turn off phone, hold down power and both vol buttons, select 2nd option)

6) When you see android guy hit both vol buttons to bring up text

7) Select update from zip on external storage and select the 209 zip you put on your external SD

8) Reboot into 209!!! :D

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you want to root your phone afterwards, use unstuck ICS tool and flash .85 kernel, then reboot using BP tools (last option in menu when holding down power and both vol buttons) and use option 3 in Droid RAZR Utility 1.6 to root ICS.

DONT FORGET TO BOOT INTO AP FASTBOOT AFTER ROOT AND REFLASH 209 KERNEL!!!

4.04 rather than 4.03 is the largest difference. The OTA is expected to release within a week though so it might be best to just wait and see what version it is.

is there away to go back to GB tho?
cuz i got my replacement phone -after i cracked my phone- and I "ICS ed" it .84, i noticed it has so many black spots on the screen, u can see it only in the dark, so i wanted to give it back! and i know they won't take it with ICS!

Unfortunately anything higher than .79 can not go back to gingerbread. However, once the ota ICS comes out (hopefully next week), you will be aboe to use the same method to get back on the OTA path and then go to verizon without a problem

Those black splotches are on all RAZRs so you're not alone on that. You will probably never be able to go back to Gingerbread but when the OTA comes, you 100% be able to get back on the update path.

my Old razr had it but not as bad as the new one it esse only few spots on the side of the screen, the new one has a big black line right in the middle of the screen!

You will be able to install the official ICS release but not "over the air". The actual ICS release will be intended to install over .181 so no, you will not be able to OTA the official version, but you will be able to install it.
