Just like almost every manufacturer's phone launch (sans Samsung and Apple), the Moto X launch will be very complicated. The simplest piece of news that I can give you right now is that the Moto X is allegedly launching on ALL carriers on August 23rd. That includes Verizon. This doesn't come as a surprise as a Verizon roadmap was leaked a while back that pegged the Moto X launch to the 23rd. The original thought was that the Moto X was going to launch on August 1st on all carriers but Verizon. This has turned out to not be the case.
The simplicity of the launch ends there. The Motomaker, the website that allows you to customize your Moto X, will only be available to AT&T customers at launch. So all other carriers will be stuck with the classic black and white versions. Oh, and that's not all. T-Mobile customers will only be able to purchase the Moto X directly from Motorola. So come August 23rd, don't head to your T-Mobile store to grab your Moto X.
Of course, with the way phone launches have gone in the past, I don't think anyone would be surprised if none of this is true and Verizon really won't be getting the Moto X until next August.
