I'm not into freezing or deleting everything VZW puts on my phone. I actually use Amazon and My Verizon. Would freezing any particular one or few "bloat" apps significantly affect performance of my phone? I mean discernable difference.

If so, which? I've seen lists of what I can and should not freeze but not which things really, really speed up phone and eliminate lag.

Honestly freezing a some bloat is not going to get rid of your lag. At best you might free up a few meg of ram from something that MAY be running in the background. IMO you will not see a noticeable difference.
