My Droid Razr Maxx seems to not be able to charge its battery. I am rooted and running AOKP in ROM Slot 2. I have not had any issues like this. This morning, I downloaded a few new apps and that seems to be when it started. I downloaded LightFlow Lite and gave it root access in the process. I also downloaded ActiveNotifications. The reason I think it has something to do with one of these two apps is because my LED is flashing while plugged in and it never did this before. I have gotten it to charge up and boot up but it won't stay on. I had cleared the Cache and Davlik Cache. When I got back into ROM Slot 2, I went ahead and restored from a previous backup (using SS 3.11). I then was about to reboot and it indicated no ROM installed. I don't know why it got deleted. When I try to flash the ROM back into the slot, it can't finish. I then have deleted ROM slot 2 and re-created it. Now, I can't even get it to boot into stock. It starts the stock boot animation and immediately shuts down.

Any ideas of what I can do? I have Matt's utility 1.82 downloaded but don't want to attempt a data wipe and flash of Jellybean unless I can get it to hold a charge. I am not sure what to do next. I probably won't be able to check in here until alter today. I am going to just leave it plugged in and hope it charges for the next few hours.

Ugh.

Ok..... are you still on ICS? Or updated to JB..... if you are updated you don't want to use the 1.82 utility ... you will want to use this one

I use LightFlow and have not had any problems. As for the charge light, in LightFlow you can enable or disable that feature. I dont use ActiveNotifications.

And what John said.... :)

Sorry. I should have put the right utility in there. I do have this one downloaded. I am running JB. Since it seems I may be bricked, i am assuming I want to use option 1 and wipe data and flash JB.
My issue right now is that I can't get it to even startup. When it was sill working, even when it was plugged in, it kept loosing juice. It actually got to 0 and kept running. I am now posting from my wife's phone.

Your phone may be running....try holding power and vol down for 8 or so seconds. If it blinks, then you should be able to get it started again.

As for the battery, you may need to buy a Factory Adapter, or you can try the various methods we have in the Help thread.

If you do get it started, you can try to do a Wipe in Recovery and see if that helps since I didnt see you try that.

It is running then. I can boot into safestrap but can go anywhere from there. It just shuts down. Its like something hijacked my phone and won't quit running ;-)
What do you mean by a factory adapter?
I will have to check the help threads for battery related issues.

I would run the utility option 1.... but first power off and plug in to wall charger see if the charging animation comes up

Ok. I am going to let it sit and charge while I am out for a while. I will see what happens when I get back.

Earlier when I did that, it would just boot up. Not sure why I couldn't get charging animation.

If needed, this is a Factory Cable/Adapter:
