Under recent apps button can you remove the shortcuts on the left side of the screen?

I am having the same issue of boot freezes at the bootloader screen.  I flashed using TWRP 2.5.0.0 with an unlocked bootloader.  Do I need to update TWRP to 2.6?

 

*EDIT* I updated to TWRP 2.6.1.0 and reflashed with the same results.  Here is my process:

 

TWRP 2.6.1.0

Unlocked Bootloader

ROM and Gapps on External SD

Reboot into recovery

Mount System

Wipe data

Factory Reset

Format System

Install ZIP and Gapps (Stacked ZIPS in TWRP)

Reboot

 

First boot from recovery is usually fine, but on the next reboot (either reboot from the power menu or power off and power on) it freezes at the bootloader screen.  I have to reboot a few times to get it to fully boot or have to boot into recovery then reboot system to get it to (sometimes) work.

Oh, and thanks for the ROM!!!

 

I do have another little issue that I have noticed.  When I hit Home from within an app, it will go to the home screen, but it is totally blank.  Going into the app drawer then back home restores all of my widgets. Any ideas?

Is it possible to remove these short cuts? If so please share. I love this rom and has been my dd for a long while. I just can't figure it out and my big rear end thumb hits them all when I hit the clear recent menu button.

Btw using this ROM with kitkat launcher, theme, camera, and Google now is pretty sweet!!!!
