Yes that's what I did.

I did these things exactly.

• Boot into Recovery (TWRP or CWM)
• MOUNT SYSTEM
• Wipe Data / Factory Reset
• Wipe cache and dalvik cache
• Wipe System
• Install ragehd.zip

However after Wipe System, I checkled and "System " was unchecked again under Mount, so I rechecked it then tried install. Same error message.

I'm thinking since your comming from 4.1.1 you need the boot image. I don't remember where I got it.

So just a thought- This 9.16.6 update has been trying to push on this device for some time. I havent used the device in months so I havent taken it- today however I tried to take it and it would not run update because I have a custom recovery (or so I'm told)- could thi shave anything to do with the failures I;'m having to install this rom?

So you think I need to install a different boot image first? Do i have to run it from ADB ? Maybe somone will chime in and know where to get it.

The latest firefox nightly has been running nice on this. No lag when pulling up keyboard like previous roms I've tried

Am I lookin for a kernel- is that the boot img I don't entirely understand. I found this- FFW-5 md5: 1dcb35492b8f144fe9d9593decdda02c

Ok- so just flash that in recovery. Do I reboot to system before installing new rom?

Put it on your card the same place you have ROM and gladh both at the same time twrp gives you the option

I saw in settings that "verify zip ... " was checked- after I unchecked it it is now installing zips. Sorry for all the trouble- I think that was the whole problem. Not sure why that was checked- I dont recall ever changing a sertting in there.

So the rom appears to have installed. really appreciate you hangin with me thru it.

Get the ROM set up and see for yourself its the same kernel just not tweaked. Right now its running just fine. I'm not sure why stuff happens if we new it would be to easy. Glad you goter done.

You have to go to mount and check System before flashing this Rom, that worked for me. And wipe everything before flashing (unlocked bootloaders only)

How long is it suppose to take to flash this in TWRP v2.6.0.0?

 

I am coming from Blur based Eclipse rom, mounted system as instructed and did full wipes

 

Install rage2.zip and its been sitting at "installing system and data..." for about 20 minutes

This is an awesome ROM.  The only things I can think of to make it better would be MODs for different battery indicators and the AOSP lockscreen.  Great work and thanks!

Spots of lag, dlna service starts up with phone boot and so does media service but media goes forever until you force stop it and no swype? I have the updated jb version of wifikill if you want it for this rom
