Cool! You use the equipment we make. I work for a medical device mfg in a ventilator assembly plant. I'm a Hardware Test Engineer, I design and program automated test equipment for the assembly lines. Pretty sweet gig some days.Respiratory Therapist. I manage "life support" systems.

I worked as a volunteer in my local library when I was 14, and then again when I was 16. DDS is extremely easy, but I think a switch over to ISBN would work better.
Most ISBN numbers start out the same and are set more by publisher than genre. That would be hard to organize logically. Plus, the same title can have multiple ISBN numbers.
If we are going to ditch Dewey, I'd rather go to a bookstore model. A lot of libraries are going to that.

I spent 6 years in Okinawa. It's a great place for a single male that loves Japanese cars and asian women.Currently a B-2 Avionics backshop technician servicing 33 parts or so on that plane. I am in aviation maintenance for the USAF, stuck in the frigid Upper Midwest. Spring started yesterday, and the low was -10F. FML!

But in real life I am a student, looking at getting my undergrad in Psych and Linguistics

I would love to work in your field. That or for a Rail Road company. I am a Diesel Tech at Truck Country in Cedar Rapids Iowa. I am looking into moving next summer.
