Hello all. I am hoping someone here will be able to help me out. I recently rooted my phone and installed Safestrap recovery on boot. I needed to turn the phone back to stock so I unrooted using the instructions for the one click root method I used. After unrooting I went into stock recovery and did a factory reset. Factory reset was a success but the safestrap is still installed. I thought by doing a factory reset that it would no longer be on the phone but I was mistaken. Can I install the safestrap.apk without being rooted? Apparently you need to remove with the app itself. Or will I have to reroot? Only concern I have with that is with the zergrush root method it also puts droid bionic bootstrap on the phone. I heard that it can cause bricks if they are both on the phone at the same time. I'm hoping its easier than I am making it out to be but I have looked on many sites and haven't found a definitive answer.

I can personally confirm with having two replacement razors both using Zergrush (unzip in a folder you can find) root found here
Click runme and follow on screen instructions
Root your phone
Re Install HashCode's Safestarp
Then Uninstall recover in the actual app in your app drawer.
To unroot use this (unzip in a folder you can find)
Click runme-UNROOT and follow on screen instructions
I always use moto recovery to wipe.
when phone off hold down power and both volume up/down when android guy pops up pres volume button again proceed to data/factory reset. once its rebooted your GOLDEN!
Click runme and follow on screen instructions
Root your phone

Ended up lucking out. I received the .748 OTA last night. I downloaded it, installed it, and when it rebooted safestrap was gone.
