I'm still on .79 stock side, DualCore .211 with .214 kernel custom side. I see no reason to mess with my current set-up. Everything works, battery life is fine.

Thanks a lot.

Reason to downgrade radio ..............

I am in India and new radio versions do not let CDMA data work unless there is LTE SIM.

With KOA ROM and 79 radio, CDMA data is said to be working.

Will post update once I have working data.

You can also try the 181 radio with that tool. LTE wont load on the 181 radio if using ics so it might be what you are looking for.

Ics will run ics radios. If you run 181 radio ics will only detect cdma, after a few minutes...

Ill upgrade psuedoics tool to new 211 radio tonight. The 211 fastboot files should allow you to fastboot back to 181 since there is no cdt.bin...

If you updated the 215 on safe side, your unsafe side will run the same kernel. Sorry i thought this thread was dead :)

x

Edit: The new ICS Fastboot files that were released do not alter your CDT.bin. So in theory, you could be able to Fastboot the new files, and still be able to go back to GB. And if u dont want to fastboot everything, but just want the new radio, fastboot flash radio radio.img from the new fastboot files.

Im still running the .214 kernal. My question is: Can i update to the .215 kernal? The only method i see posted is flashing the complete 215 update in moto recovery. I can't do that since i am still fastbootable back to GB.

Also check the 215 ota it may not have a cdt.bin update so you could fb 211 then update to 215 and still be able to go back to gb

I was able to update to the .215 kernal easily. I copied it into 1.81 update utility and edited the batch file from .214 to .215.

Can I try update to the .215 radio as well? Will it update through fastboot or is it moto recovery only?

Also, what are you running x? on the non-safe side.

Only way to do radio is the 215 ota. You can do the 211 radio if you haven't already. 211 fb nor 215 ota should affect you going back to gb.

I run 215 nonsafe with beats audio. Just installed beats audio on nonsafe side via app not sure what i am benefiting from it or what makes it so special.
