Alright, I don't know if any of you have ProtectCell. If not here is their site,
I purchased my droid razr and insured it through them. I have made a claim on it once because of a shattered screen. So here's my crazy idea. What if I take my buddies Razr Maxx's ESN and send it to them, as if I have changed phones. Wait a few weeks, and then make a claim on that phone? And then boom, Razr Maxx.
I just want advice.... is this a bad idea? Don't want to get cut off from my insurance completely.
. A little bit of background: They are a 3rd-party protection program (not "insurance"). They can't check your actual VZW account, all they see is what phone you currently have. They allow you to switch the policy to whatever phone you have during the 1-2 years of your policy. All you do is send them an ESN change form.
