I have a droid razr maxx hd that I would really love to root. However, I can not root it with motochopper because I had updated it. The system version now reads 9.18.79.xt926. How can I get it to root?

You can root you just can't unlock the bootloader. Follow the info in

I once again have a question to ask of you? Can you tell me as to which custom recovery app I could use?? I would like to install a custom rom, but not without being able to do a recovery back-up of phone. Thank you once again!
