I don't like the colors used in the text bubbles with jelly bean...I kinda miss the old one, how can I change the theme without installing another text app off the market?

AFAIK ...the only way without s 3rd party app would be to edit the apk itself... via apktool or similar apktool based tool....

I googled that apktool and downloaded I kept clicking and nothing ever popped up.

Apktool is a command based tool to decompile/recompile apks. Just clicking the exe/bat won't do much. If you do a search on apktool commands,you'll get the basics. You can also search for apkmulti tool or any of the variations as they are script based. I use a tool that uses apktool but does it in a easier for me environment with a GUI. It's called VTS..Virtuous Ten StudioI googled that apktool and downloaded I kept clicking and nothing ever popped up.
